Most services are direct and require no changes, which translates to comfort and predictability of travel. The fastest connections take less than 3 hours 45 minutes.
Among the available trains, IC and TLK categories dominate – both types offer comfortable travel conditions, including seat reservation, air conditioning and access to power sockets in selected coaches. A ticket bought from the conductor on an IC train usually costs more than one reserved in advance through PolishTrains, so it's worth purchasing it online before boarding. Current departure and arrival times, as well as any changes to the timetable, can be checked on the PolishTrains website.
The cost of travel depends on the chosen train category, coach class and travel date. On the Poznań to Katowice route, statutory discounts apply, including for students, schoolchildren, seniors and holders of the Large Family Card. You can also take advantage of periodic promotions from carriers.

Select your departure and destination station, choose your connection, and then fill in a simple form. At the end, pay for your ticket using your chosen method – traditionally or using deferred payment. You will receive your ticket by email. We also recommend additional options – a ticket link sent via SMS and a reminder about your journey sent 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
