The route from Poznań to the coast serves a very diverse range of passengers: employees travelling on business to Gdynia, students returning home for the weekend, families heading for a seaside holiday and tourists starting their break straight from the station. The route connects two major railway hubs, so the timetable is frequent throughout the year, not just during the holiday season.
IC category trains dominate departures from Poznań Główny station(##BRAK## accounting for 70 per cent of traffic. Express InterCity has a 9 per cent share, and Koleje Wielkopolskie 6 per cent – the latter mainly serving regional traffic in other directions.
